Ross Imlach. Born and raised in Scotland.
I do two kinds of work. By day I'm a staff platform engineer - thirteen years across SaaS, distributed systems, and (more recently) ML infrastructure. On nights, weekends, and increasingly the days in between, I'm a director of photography on features, commercials, short films and music videos.
The two halves are starting to talk to each other. The most interesting work I can imagine doing next is at the seam - tooling that augments creative craft without flattening it.
